Vive ‘Le Zoo’..My Fave Miami HotSpot!

How many times are my husband and I away on holiday and wonder….do we do the usual or try something new? Often familiarity and rituals with great food and excellent service prevail.

So, more often than not we land at our favourite French Brasserie which is Le Zoo. There is such attention to flavour and presentation we can hardly go wrong. Rarely do we arrive without an offer of Champagne as we are seated…also nice to know our loyalty is appreciated. Not surprising why Stephen Starr of Starr restaurants has been such a success and why we keep coming back.

One could be sitting in Paris’ 8th arrondissement or street side in St Tropez, but instead we are in Bal Harbour at this hot spot. It is relaxed in atmosphere but definitely not in service. An extremely attentive staff is always close to welcome and look after your every need.

The Al Fresco Dining is a highlight with no shortage of great people watching. Starr’s attention to design detail is meticulous under a circus tent setting. The tables I am convinced are authentic French bistro style.

And the food…well let’s just say we have more than experienced enough visits that if there were inconsistencies in quality, we would be the first to notice. If I had to narrow down, I am crazy about the Mediterranean Sea Bass with Salad Verte to start. The dill, lemon and herbs make this salad exquisite. I could go on as the Burger Americain is delish, as are the Crab Stuffed Zucchini. And, the amazing Seafood offerings. My favourite lunch salad is the Nicoise Salad. Dessert is a must…each selection is truly outstanding and well worth the calories.

Last but not least is the extensive Wine List. Tried and True!
