Go Bold or Go Home!

Having just returned from a major event on the Interiors calendar,  The Las Vegas Market, I am beyond excited to give you a glimpse of what is in store for 2016!

The market is such an incredible space filled with the most unique collections and innovative designs. And this year offers such a wealth of choices on exciting products and design launches. I was absolutely overwhelmed with so many spectacular finds, that I couldn’t wait to share some.

There is a dizzying array of texture and colour. Blue features strongly, yellow gold, ultramarine, pinks and reds. Texture and pattern creates graphic elements for the floor and in textiles with robust colour and chic designs. Accessories and objects are marked and singled out by shades of green, navy and blue which convey a coolness.

The decor projects for this year are filled with natural products. Marble is coming back strongly and wood, stone and concrete remain timeless. Cushions are plush with velvet and soft textures. Textiles range from touches of traditional tartan to bohemian inspired tribal, macrame and pompoms. There’s a definite air of indulgence about this season’s throws, rugs and cushions; plush, strokable textures seem to be as important as warmth.

I might say that the changes and trends in Interior Design have brought us to a sophisticated place where colours are playful and abundant! What do you think?
